ast Tuesday at Kawa we collaborated to write two pieces of flash fiction, one of them left unfinished (like that famous symphony). We did generative dialogue and some art but didn't quite succeed in establishing a new genre. We heard a poem by David Budbill

Dilemma

I want to be

famous

so I can be

humble

about being famous.

What good is my

humility

when I am

stuck

in this

obscurity?

We also discussed ideas for conflict transformation, and possibilities for building our skills in this field. Nyabuoy suggested that Kuir Garang, who’s doing a doctorate in a related field, might enrich our dialogue on conflict transformation. She contacted him and he agreed to join us at Kawatomorrow (April 24).

It’s at 1333 8th Street SW (corner of 8th Street and 14th Avenue SW) and we are there from 6 to 9 PM. Drop by if you’ve a mind to.

Arthur
