Folk Tree Excursion June 17

You are invited on an excursion to Folk Tree Lodge near Bragg Creek on Sunday June 17. Please RSVP.

We’ll plan to arrive about 5 PM at Folk Tree for a potluck and a generative dialogue about how a proactive, visionary way of thinking about a marriage can improve chances of good outcomes; and how that might be related to a proactive, visionary way of thinking about your part in a healthy global community.

We invite you to bring a dish to contribute to the potluck if you wish. With your RSVP, please indicate what (if anything) you plan to contribute. Also let me know if you would like to join a carpool that will depart at 4 PM from my house 11 Coleridge Crescent NW in Calgary. The drive to Folk Tree Lodge (see directions below) takes about 45 minutes.

Folk Tree Lodge is increasingly a gathering point for visionaries and a place that has relieved stress for many a visitor. Here’s the link to the website http://folktreelodge.ca/

The excursion on June 17 is one in a series of Calgary Social Capital Society events, which now include our “Tuesdays at Kawa” every week that you already know about, and where you are always welcome (every Tuesday 6 to 9 PM at Kawa Espresso Bar, 1333 8 Street SW in Calgary).

Here are the Directions to Folk Tree Lodge: Drive west on the Trans-Canada (in other words, 16th Avenue NW if you are coming from NW Calgary) until you reach Highway 22 to Bragg Creek. Take the exit to Bragg Creek (south) and follow Highway 22 for quite a few kilometres until you reach Bragg Creek and the 4-way stop sign there. From that point, turn LEFT, following Highway 22 (yes, it’s the same one) for a few kilometres until you reach a T-intersection. Again turn LEFT (amazingly, you are still on Highway 22 after you make that left turn!) and then it’s just a short distance (much less than a kilometre) to the RIGHT TURN ONTO HIGHWAY 762. Now you are just about one kilometre from the entrance to Folk Tree Lodge, which will be on your LEFT, and you must look carefully for the (colourful) log gate and sign.
