Tuesdays at Kawa are like

full of surprises.
Last Tuesday we had the world at our table and wrote two stories, one in rhyming couplets. We shared information about healthy brain aging and also about recent events in Kashmir; decided on a visit to the zoo as our choice of an excursion for June; did some sketches; heard poems by Don Harris, Donald Hall, Robert Frost, and Edward Field; and expanded our awareness of the journeys of other lives.
Next Tuesday's menu will include an eleven-step way to conceptualize the known universe, as presented in the fourth edition of Terence Dickinson's Nightwatch: A Practical Guide to Viewing the Universe. We'll be travelling at the speed of thought, so the entire trip might take eleven minutes. Then we'll have the rest of the evening for play of the imagination.
We'll be there at Kawa, 1333 8th Avenue SW, 6 to 9 PM. Join us and surprise us.
