Yesterday Srinivas joined us for the first time in the Cafe dialogue in Vendome. He is a quiet young man but what he said made me think. So I am sharing his wisdom with you. He talked about 3 kinds of people: the needy, the greedy and the satisfied.
The Needy are large numbers in society. They are suppressed
The Greedy are medium numbers. They are dominant.
The Satisfied are smaller numbers. They are neutral.
Currently the needy people are most vulnerable due to lack of money/power/ basic needs or education. Greedy ones are dominant over needy. This imbalance disturbs society, especially peace in society
What is expected is as soon as greedy people are converted into the satisfied (Indirectly, needy people also converts into satisfied ) problems will be lessened.
To achieve this, Srinivas said people should understand the importance of satisfaction.
Significance here is peace and prosperity can be achieved in society once people are satisfied. It's possible but takes time.
Examples he provided was
1. If an educated person shares knowledge to an uneducated person, prosperity can be achieved, thereby peace
2. If a rich person donates basic needs to a poor person, prosperity can be achieved, thereby peace too.
Hope you all are working towards a satisfactory life. Just reflecting on these thoughts made me feel grateful and appreciated of life.
Best,
Saima
