Instead of going to Vendome for the café dialogue on Wednesday April 3, I’ll attend the Calgary Peace Prize event. The 2019 Calgary Peace Prize will be awarded to the former president of Kiribati, Anote Tong, for his advocacy of global climate justice and peace. Kiribati https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiribati is in Micronesia in the Pacific Ocean, so it’s endangered by any rise in ocean levels.

The event is at the Jack Singer Concert Hall Lobby, Arts Commons, 2015 Eighth Avenue SE. Further details are at this webpage http://blogs.mtroyal.ca/peaceinitiative/calgary-peace-prize-2019/ and include a 7 PM start time for the reception (tickets $100), an 8:15 start time for the awards ceremony and panel discussion (tickets $25 or $8 for students and low income).

I plan to be at Vendome again the following week for a good dialogue.

Arthur
