Empathy Week

Empathy Week has been declared an official part of the city’s calendar in Calgary and is another of the brilliant initiatives from Humainologie’s founder Salima Stanley-Bhanji. Salima asked me to create a post for our dialogue that would take place on the Wednesday of Empathy Week (first week of June). I had been thinking of a conceptual frame for the various skills we are building in our dialogue events, and “Building Life Skills for Personal and Social Transformation” seemed evocative. If the dialogue artists are okay with this when we have our Zoom dialogue this Wednesday, we could post as our dialogue topic for Empathy Week: “Empathy as a Life Skill for Personal and Social Transformation.” This would go up on the website of the Calgary Centre for Global Community / Humainologie. Salima could weigh in here if necessary to clarify or amend this email message. In any case, I’d ask for your comments and green light this Wednesday. This is about the dialogue that would take place on Wednesday June 3.
