“When you undervalue what you do, the world will undervalue who you are.” - Oprah Winfrey

We can probably be more effective in this process of social transformation we have embarked upon, if we are all aware of the importance of what we are doing. Our creative dialogue, building group genius and transforming our society, can change the course of history.

Please use the "Reply All" option very sparingly if at all. Here is the Zoom link provided by Shinobu for our creative dialogue team practice this week, on Wednesday January 13, starting at 6:30 PM Calgary time.

Naomi and Mahendra will lead our team practice session this Wednesday, on the topic of Happiness and Education. Tarek Nemr, a refugee from the conflict in Syria, will be our guest, joining us to describe a bit of his life’s journey and share his wisdom about where happiness can be found.

Naomi and Mahendra will have some good questions for us, to set loose our imagination. Here is a good question that occurred to me: Assume for a moment that Shawn Achor (The Happiness Advantage) is exactly right, that happiness really does lead to success in work and in life, and furthermore assume (for purposes of this creative dialogue) that it does so constantly, in countless ways, every single day; and that it’s part of a powerful feedback loop that can keep you spiraling upward for the rest of your life. Take it seriously, and you can explore realms that otherwise would remain closed to you.

Based on that assumption, respond to the following two questions: How would you get started exploring the power and the possibility of this in your own life? How would you lead others in an exploration of the same “brave new world” (the power and possibility of happiness in day-to-day life? For example, what might be one imaginative new practice that you and others could add to your own daily “routine,” to begin exploring this?

Carpe diem,

Arthur
