An agora in which people gather to share ideas will probably seem an existential necessity for future generations. Here in Calgary, we have created such an agora. However, I have been astounded at how long it has taken to gather speed and lift off.

This Wednesday May 4 we will try to achieve with our creative dialogue what the Wright Brothers did in 1904 with their airplane. The topic is Re-inventing the Humainologie Creative Dialogue.

With the vast resources now available – far beyond ancient Athens or Kitty Hawk in 1904 – surely we can fly. Will you rise to the challenge?

Bring your inspiring ideas to give us wings. Should we do one of our dialogues this summer with a telescope under the stars on a clear night, to put everything here on earth in perspective? Should we create a conversation-enhancing game that we play to build our skill at conversation? Should we hold the dialogues just once a month instead of once a week? Should we attend a City Council meeting and build our dialogue around that experience at least once each year? Should we set up chairs outdoors on a busy sidewalk on Eighth Avenue and invite passers-by to join our dialogue?

The possibilities are like the stars!
