“Be the change that you want to see in the world.” - Mohandas Gandhi

“Wherever a man turns, he can find someone who needs him.” - Albert Schweitzer

Our dialogues may be no more significant than a butterfly flapping its wings, but if we keep at it, we might create a countercurrent to the societal violence that seems to be getting worse, particularly in the United States. Here’s an article that includes an ominous 13-minute video of what happened at the US Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., on January 6 https://n.pr/371GkFn

With Dr. David Swann facilitating on Wednesday February 17, we’ll dialogue on the topic What can we learn in Canada from the violence in Washington?

Here is a set of good questions for us, provided by David:

· When have I confronted violence? (verbal, physical…)

· How did I react?

· When was I ever violent? (in thought or action)

· How do I understand the roots of violence and some approaches to prevent or reduce it in myself, my family, my community?

This TED talk may also be helpful as you prepare for team practice next Wednesday:
